Museum Treasure Hunt in Paris

This activity transforms the museums of Paris into a giant game board! Equipped with a tablet, you’ll search for clues and solve challenges in order to earn points. It’s the perfect activity to do with family and friends!

Each game (lasting from 2 to 2.5 hours) will take you on a fun exploration of a different museum in Paris.

There are 3 phases to the game: the briefing phase (15 minutes); the game phase (1.5 to 2 hours); and the debriefing phase (15 minutes).

The duration of the game phase can be adjusted depending on how long you’d like to play.

Participants are divided into teams. Each team receives a tablet that carries a map of the game with different icons corresponding to different types of challenges.

Teams are geo-localized, and in order to unlock and solve a challenge the team must be in front of the masterpiece.

Here are some examples of challenges within the game: answer a quiz, discover unusual anecdotes about the area’s history, find the point of view of historical photos and postcards, etc.

Arrive a few minutes early so we can get to know each other!

Wear comfortable, closed shoes (avoid flip-flops and high heels) and don’t forget to bring a camera.

After the briefing phase (during which we’ll explain how to operate the tablet), each team will begin to explore the museum, looking for clues and earning points.

In order to optimize everyone’s experience we recommend that teams are made up of no more than 5 people each.

The starting point for the game is different for each team.

A member of the Wheels and Ways team will be present to deliver the tablets and brief you on their use, as well as to collect them again at the end of the game. He/she will also be able to answer any questions that you have before, during, and after the game.

The Museum Treasure Hunt game is available at each of the following museums in Paris:

• The Arts et Metiers Museum
• The Louvre Museum (Musée du Louvre)
• The d’Orsay Museum (Musée d’Orsay)
