Segway Training

The explanations of our instructors will allow you to quickly become comfortable on controlling your Segway.  After 15 minutes, our group (9 people maximum) is on its way to discover Paris by Segway!

Step 1

11 first steps

The first 11 sites and monuments visited are those of the Paris Express Tour: Military School, Peace Wall, Champs-de-Mars, Lavirotte Building, Russian Orthodox Church and cultural center, Alexander the 3rd Bridge (ornate bridge), Petit Palais and Grand Palais.

La Grille du Coq

After Petit and Grand Palais we cross the Avenue des Champs-Elysées and we arrive at the rear exit of the Elysée Palace (French Presidence residency) in front of the Rooster Grid (so called because surmounted by a golden rooster).

The Gardens of the Champs-Elysées

Then, we cross these beautiful English gardens designed by Adolphe Alphand in 1840 to arrive at Place de la Concorde.

Place de la Concorde

It is the largest square in Paris. You can especially admire the oldest Parisian monument (the Luxor Obelisk – over 3300 years old!), two monumental fountains and many rostral columns (the Ministry of Marine is nearby) and 8 statues of French cities: Brest, Rouen, Lille, Strasbourg, Lyon, Marseille, Bordeaux and Nantes.

Quai des Tuileries

We leave the Place de la Concorde and go along the Quai des Tuileries. On the left, you will see the facade of the Musée de l’Orangerie (famous for Claude Monnet’s Water Lilies) and on the right we overlook the Seine and its quays.

The Sedar Senghor Footbridge

This is where you can attach your love padlock (before it was at the Pont des Arts) and can enjoy a 360° view of Paris (Le Louvre, Notre-Dame, the Orsay Museum, The Eiffel Tower …).

Quai Anatole France

We cross to the left bank and we carry on along the Quai Anatole France towards the Pont de la Concorde (bridge).

National Assembly

After admiring the pediment, and the statues of major French ministers Sully, L’Hospital, d’Aguesseau and Colbert we continue our itinerary along the Rue Aristide Briand before taking the Rue de L’Université.

Esplanade des Invalides

Rue de l’Université leads us to Esplanade des Invalides from where we can admire from a far the Grand Palais, Petit Palais and Alexandre the 3rd Bridge, as well as the Hôtel des Invalides on the opposite side.

Rodin Museum / the Thinker

We carry on via Boulevard des Invalides and take the opportunity to admire the Thinker by Rodin from a far.

The Dôme des Invalides

Covered with 500,000 gold sheets (12 kg of gold!), it houses the royal chapel of the Invalides as well as the tomb of Napoleon.

Terminus

This is our last stop. We return to the Champ de Mars and the Eiffel Tower for final photos of Paris by Segway!
